Fractured Atlas

We’re continuing to expand our resources and services here at StageSource at every level and pass those benefits along to you. Be sure to take a moment to read last week’s post about our new membership with Theatre Communications Group. In addition, we are thrilled to announce that we are now a partner of Fractured Atlas!

What is Fractured Atlas? I’ll let them tell you: “Fractured Atlas is a non-profit organization that serves a national community of artists and arts organizations. Our programs and services facilitate the creation of art by offering vital support to the artists who produce it. We help artists and arts organizations function more effectively as businesses by providing access to funding, insurance, education, and more, all in a context that honors their individuality and independent spirit. By nurturing today’s talented but underrepresented voices, we hope to foster a dynamic and diverse cultural landscape of tomorrow.”   Visit here for more information on what this actually means.  In their words (which I love) “we’re here to help with the ‘unsexy’ stuff that makes the art happen”.

So what does this mean to you? This means that you can join Fractured Atlas as an Associate Member free of charge! Visit here and fill out the online Associate Membership application. You will instantly become an Associate Member of the nation’s fastest growing arts services organization.

As an Associate Member you will have access to a limited, but vast selection of services including:

Liability Insurance-quick, clear and painless access to high-quality, low-cost liability, property and casualty coverage for theatre companies, teaching artists, dancers, film & media makers, independent contractors, producers and more.

Healthcare– A complete artist’s guide to health insurance including a glossary of terms, quotes, information on what options are available to YOU, and access to expert help!

Online Courses– developed by industry professionals that can help with fundraising, marketing, budgeting, producing strategies, and other D.I.Y. aspects of the arts and creative industries. (Including my personal favorite, “Getting Your Sh*t Together”)

Calendar of Events– Members can post news and event listings to an online, national Calendar of Events.

Special Offers & Discounts– to both businesses and arts organizations have been specifically negotiated for FA members

Cool, right?! Also, be sure to check out their blog,  Youtube channel,  and Member News  (not to mention Swag Central which I just KNOW is going to start giving Julie ideas)

If you are interested in full membership for a low annual fee you may get access to their Fiscal Sponsorship program as well. This program provides the means for independent artists and groups to apply for grants and receive tax-deductible contributions for their work.

We’re thrilled about our new partnership with Fractured Atlas and hope that you can take advantage of some of these fabulous services!
